Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy Conducted a Grand 60th National Conference!!c
All India Occupational Therapists Association along with Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy has conducted the 60th Annual National Conference. Smt. Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, Comissioner for Welfare of Differently Abled Tamil Nadu had been invited as the guest of honour for the OTICON 2023 conference and she has inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
The chancellor of SIMATS Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, the vice president of AIOTA Dr. S.K. Meena, the secretary of AIOTA Dr. Joseph sunny, the EC members along with the principal and also the organizing secretary of the AIOTA conference Dr. M. Arun kumar were present in the function.
Smt. Jacintha Lazarus, the guest of honour while giving her speech she has mentioned that being a commissioner for welfare of Differently Abled I have noticed that the role of Occupational therapists is very clear in the rehabilitation of differently abled people.
Tamilnadu government is going to do a project with a budget of 1000 crores in which the contribution of Occupational Therapists is going to be high. The principal of Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy and also the organizing secretary of this AIOTA conference has created the book titled "TAMILNADU OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS' CLINICAL DIRECTORY" and launched in this event. Smt.Jacintha Lazarus, the commissioner has praised by saying that the book is useful to know the details of where occupational therapists services are provided. Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, the chancellor of SIMATS while giving his speech has praised the speciality of occupational therapists and the event conducted by Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy. More than 1200 occupational therapy students along with the occupational therapists and AIOTA members have been participated in this useful conference. Useful research compositions, scientific sessions and entertaining cultural programs have been held on this february 3rd, 4th and 5th.
